How to re-create guides from one Photoshop document to another

Last calendar week ane of our intern designers asked me if in that location was any fashion to re-create and paste adobe Photoshop guides from one Photoshop document to some other.

I answered: sure, I will try it and become back to you, merely the like shooting fish in a barrel way is to save a template with guides and use information technology every time y'all start a new file for that size.

She replied: I know but I want to use it to gear up the alignment in existing files not new ones; and copying layers to a new file for every prototype takes much time! and I already found a video talking about that, but in the video they are using some codes and I didn't know what to practise!

Later some research I didn't find a way to achieve that then I watched the video she mentioned earlier (Video Link) , they are using a script to copy and paste guides so I downloaded the script file and added information technology to the adobe Photoshop scripts binder and tried it as it shows in the video merely information technology didn't piece of work!

Then I opened the script and started reading and found out that I should press "Shift" push button in the keyboard when copying and guess what it's working!

but I edited the script a flake, I split the script into 2 script files one to do the copying and some other for the paste.

Now I will show you lot how to practise that. list starting time :

Guides Paste.jsx

open adobe Photoshop installation folder
for me information technology'south "C:\Programme Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020"
so get to "Presets" folder then "Scripts" binder.
the final location volition be "C:\Plan Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Presets\Scripts"
at present re-create the 2 scripts to this location
